Joe Haden Returns For Afternoon Walk-Through

Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden returned for the team's afternoon walk-through, after being kicked out of practice this morning by coach Pat Shurmur for being too rough. Haden and Shurmur reportedly talked before the afternoon walk-through.

The Browns coach was visibly upset with Haden after the cornerback awkwardly tackled receiver Travis Benjamin on a touchdown pass, and sent Haden to the locker room 30 minutes before practice was over. Coach Shurmur would not address the specific incident with the media, although he would apologize for his on-the-field outburst.

"I'm not going to talk about it," Shurmur said of ordering Haden's removal from practice. "That's between me and the player. I have a great deal of respect for Joe. If you want details, you're going to have to find it on Twitter, all right? My only apology is that I used bad language and the fans were here to see it. That's between me and the player. Joe's a great competitor and I appreciate what he does and who he is, and that's the last you'll hear me talk about it."

Haden was not available for comment on the matter after practice. Shurmur would go on to talk about playing smart in practice, especially considering how many injuries the team is currently dealing with. While the blow-up between Haden and coach Shurmur is noteworthy, the players on both offense and defense said it's something that happens and should not become a big deal.
