Browns DE Emmanuel Stephens Back At Practice Wednesday After Leg Injury

The Browns' practice field was certainly buzzing on Wednesday with reporters swarming over the Joe Haden situation, but the team also picked up a moderate boost from the return of defensive end Emmanuel Stephens from a minor knee injury.

The 25-year-old lineman, who finally broke into the animated GIF world with an impressive return against the Packers, was not on the field for Tuesday's practice due to a knee injury. After going undrafted out of Mississippi in 2010, Stephens saw his first real NFL opportunity with the Browns last year, recording 17 tackles (nine solo) on teh season. He's entering his third NFL campaign.

Considering how quickly he was rushed back to the practice field, it's quite clear the Browns aren't too concerned about their budding pass rusher's knee, which is a great sign. Even if he isn't able to beat out teammates Frostee Rucker and Jabaal Sheard for a starting job, Stephens' athleticism should still prove to be a valuable asset for Cleveland's defense this season.
