Cleveland Browns wide receiver Carlton Mitchell hinted that he'd been released in a tweet that has since been deleted from his Twitter account. Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland captured the text of the tweet:

Ruiter tried to get confirmation from the Browns, who offered no comment:

Mitchell is entering his third season in the league. He was drafted in the sixth round out of South Florida in 2010. Mitchell has played in 16 games in two seasons in Cleveland, catching three passes for 31 yards.
