Usama Young Hopes To Make Browns Final Roster

Nate Ulrich of the Beacon Journal is reporting that safety Usama Young may find himself on the bubble when the Cleveland Browns make final cuts.

The roster is currently at 75 players, and the Browns have until 9 p.m. Friday to get it down to 53.

Young has only recently returned to practice, after missing more than three weeks with a quadriceps injury.

The Kent State product is likely in competition with David Sims, who has managed to impress coaches this preseason with two interceptions already.

According to Ulrich:

"If the Browns keep five safeties, as they did last year, Young and Sims will probably survive cuts. If they keep only four, one of them might be the odd man out."

Young played in all 16 games for the Browns last season, amassing 51 solo tackles and an interception.
