The Cleveland Browns are a confident organization these days. Not so much because of the perceived immediate future, but largely due in part to the young players on the team such as wide receiver Josh Gordon.
Gordon was picked up in the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft out of Baylor and seems to be forming a nice chemistry with rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden, according to ESPN.com.
"The confidence between the two of us is growing," Weeden said. "I’ll tell you, he’s hungry, he’s playing hungry. He’s excited to work every day and really grinding to get better."
Weeden needs Gordon to step up on a team that isn't blessed with a ton of options in the passing game. Greg Little showed flashes as a rookie last season, but the emergence of Gordon could help to keep defenses honest.
"I think where (Gordon has) come from Day One to where he is now, I think he’s come the most of anyone on this football team. I’m really happy with Josh."
