Bears Vs. Browns Final Score: Special Teams, Defensive Touchdown Propel Chicago To Win

With both teams resting starting quarterbacks in the preseason finale, the Chicago Bears defense and special teams gave the team two touchdowns in a 28-20 win Thursday.

The Browns cut Chicago's lead to 14-10 in the third quarter, but in less than two minutes, Chicago's Greg McCoy intercepted a Thaddeus Lewis pass and returned it 15-yards for a touchdown. Then, one possession later, Brittan Golden returned a blocked punt 22 yards for a touchdown to push the lead to 28-10.

The Browns cut the lead to 28-17 with 10 minutes remaining on a 1-yard touchdown run by Adonis Thomas and Phil Dawson made it 28-20 with a 42-yard field goal with 4:58 remaining.

Cleveland trailed 14-7 at halftime, led by a Seneca Wallace touchdown pass to Rod Windsor.

The Browns gained 196 yards on the ground, led by Thomas with 11 carries for 81 yards and Brandon Jackson with 7 carries for 48 yards. Cleveland finished the preseason at 2-2.
