Browns Training Camp: Ahtyba Rubin Participates In First Full Practice

Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin participated in his first full practice on Monday and is, unsurprisingly, rather happy about it.

Ahtyba intends to play in the preseason opener on Friday, via Tom Reed of The Plain Dealer:

"It's great to be out there with my teammates, put a contribution in, get to run around and have fun," Rubin said. ". . . I'm pretty sure I'll probably be in the game Friday. I don't feel (any) limitations, I don't feel bad or nothing like that. I feel 100 percent, so I'm ready to go."

For a defensive line in need of any help it can get, his return from that torn pelvic muscle is very much welcomed. On Saturday, Cleveland linebacker Chris Gocong tore his Achilles tendon, which will sideline him for the entire season. Defensive tackle Phil Taylor, currently on the Physically Unable To Perform list, is supposed to be out until midseason with a torn pectoral muscle.
