Joe Thomas Injury: Browns LT Confident He'll Be Ready For Bengals Game

Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas has been dealing with a left knee injury that led to limited practice on Wednesday, but Thomas says he will play on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. The veteran OT has compiled a streak of 81-game consecutive games played that started when he was a rookie in 2007, and it appears that run will continue during Week 2. Here is what Thomas told Jeff Schudel of the News-Herald on Thursday:

"When you get to be an old man like me, you need to take a few reps off on Wednesday and Thursday," Thomas joked in the locker room. "I'll be fine."

"We haven't beaten a lot of teams the last few years," Thomas said. "If we're ever going to be the playoff team we want to be, we have to win in the AFC North."

The Browns take on the Bengals at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday in Cincinnati.
