Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Billy Winn and tight end Alex Smith both sustained concussions last week against Cincinnati, and Browns coach Pat Shurmur offered a very brief update on the two players Wednesday.
#Browns HC Shurmur said TE Alex Smith is day to day with concussion. DT Billy Winn should be out there today after his concussion Sun.— Mary Kay Cabot (@MaryKayCabot) September 19, 2012
This update offered just slightly more information:
Billy Winn will be @ practice today per Shurmur; won't say how Alex Smith is doing other than "fine" won't say if he'll practice "we'll see"— Daryl Ruiter (@RuiterWrongFAN) September 19, 2012
Smith has four catches for 29 yards this season. Winn has logged two total tackles, one of those solo. The Browns (0-2) host the Buffalo Bills Sunday.
