The Cleveland Browns will be 3-point-underdogs when they welcome the Buffalo Bills to town this Sunday. The line opened at 3 and has stayed put in most places, with just a few sportsbooks having had the line dip down to 2 1/2 points. The total is set at 44 points after opening at 43 1/2.
The Browns, despite being 0-2 in the standings, are 1-0-1 against the spread this season. Cleveland covered against the Eagles in Week 1, and hit the spread exactly last week when they lost to the Bengals, 34-27. The Bills meanwhile are 1-1 both in the standings and against the spread without having played a close game yet. Buffalo got abused by the Jets in their opener, but covered as 3-point-favorites last week in a 35-17 victory over the Chiefs.
Both teams will need to see good results from their running backs to win on Sunday. C.J. Spiller of the Bills has rushed for 292 yards in two games and is averaging 10.1 yards per carry. Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson got stuffed in the opener, but showed promise against the Bengals, rushing for 109 yards. Buffalo ranks 24th against the rush and Cleveland comes in at 18th.
