Joe Haden Braces For Appeal Ruling On 4-Game Suspension

In an interview on 92.3 The Fan on Tuesday morning, Cleveland Browns President Mike Holmgren revealed that Joe Haden has, in fact, been suspended for four games, and his appeal is pending.

As SB Nation Cleveland reported last month, Haden tested positive for the use of Adderall. While punishment from the NFL was expected, news of a suspension was never released.

Now, Holmgren is saying that Haden was given the suspension, and already had an appeal hearing, according to Mary Kay Cabot.

Holmgren speculates that if Haden has not heard a decision on his appeal by now, it is likely that he will be able to play this weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL typically hands out suspensions on Monday or Tuesday, so look for a potential update later Tuesday.
