When the Browns kick off their season Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, they'll likely do so with their sixth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft starting on their defensive line. Rookie defensive tackle Billy Winn, pick No. 205 in April, is expected to start in the opener next to Ahtyba Rubin.
With Phil Taylor still recovering from a chest injury suffered while weightlifting in the summer, the Browns were in need of a defensive tackle to step up for the team in time for the opener. While John Hughes has been, and still is, listed as the defensive tackle that would fill in for Taylor, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports it will be Winn instead.
Winn appeared in three preseason games for the Browns, starting two, and recorded six tackles.
