The Cavaliers, in their ongoing process of adjusting to their new incarnation as a team which will have to scrap and scrape and fight for every victory, took a nice step in the learning direction tonight in Texas.
Trailing the Houston Rockets by five points entering the final period, Cleveland used a 21-8 run -- led by Manny Harris's eight points -- to take an eventual eight-point lead, and then, when Houston crept to within three, Christian Eyenga put the nail in the coffin of the victory by hitting back-to-back threes down the stretch, as the Cavaliers defeated the Houston Rockets 99-93.
The Cavs improved to 2-1 in the pre-season with the win, which comes in the first game of a back-to-back in Texas. Tomorrow night Cleveland takes on the Dallas Mavericks.
