NBA Power Rankings: Week 1; Cavaliers 11th In East

Each week SBNation.com will feature power rankings - we know, they annoy us too - but they are still fun to talk about. This week, the NBA is ranked by conference so you can kinda do the math to find out where teams would end up as a whole.

At #1 in the West is the Lakers. The defending champions are quietly going about their business while all the attention is on the Miami Heat. The Lakers have stormed out of the gate this season starting 3-0. In the East it is the Heat. Everyone criticized the Heat after their loss to the Celtics, but Team LeBron has bounced back to win three straight against the likes of Philly, Orlando and New Jersey.

As for the Cavs? They are placed at No. 11 in the Eastern Conference. A blowout loss to the Raptors, followed by a loss at home to the Sacramento Kings - after running out to a 16 point lead - will do that.
