The Cavaliers, on the second night of a back-to-back, fell behind the Oklahoma City Thunder by 14 after the first quarter, but were able to chip away a little at the deficit in the second period, but still find themselves trailing the Thunder at the intermission, 56-45.
For the Cavaliers, who shot 39.5% in the first twnety-four minutes, Daniel Gibson and Anthony Parker lead the way with nine points. Anderson Varejao had a good half with eleven boards, and Mo Williams leads in assists with three.
For the Thunder, three players are already in double figures, led by Kevin Durant with 16 points. Jeff Green is right behind Durant with 15.
Cleveland is trying to avoid their eighth consecutive loss. There is much work to be done to make that so.
