Too Many Threes By Magic Doom Cavaliers

Jason Richardson made four three-pointers en route to 20 points, as the Orlando Magic used a big fourth quarter to take down the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers, 110-95, at Quicken Loans Arena.

Gilbert Arenas had 22 points and 11 assists off the bench and fellow reserve J.J. Redick added 14 points for the Magic, who have won four in a row. Jameer Nelson donated 13 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Dwight Howard tallied 12 points with six rebounds and Earl Clark also chipped in 12 points.

Antawn Jamison finished with 21 points for the Cavaliers, who have lost four straight and 14 of 15 overall. Daniel Gibson had 15 points and six boards for Cleveland, which got 14 points apiece from Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao.

The Magic started the fourth quarter on an 11-4 run to create some breathing room. Ryan Anderson made back-to-back three-pointers to start the surge, which Hedo Turkoglu capped with a three-point play for an 86-78 lead.

Holding a 91-85 advantage with under 7 1/2 minutes to play, Orlando ripped off 11 straight points to essentially put the game away. Nelson capped the burst with a technical free throw and three-pointer to make it a 102-85 game with less than 4 1/2 minutes remaining.

The Cavaliers never got closer than 11 the rest of the way.

Cleveland held a 33-30 edge after 12 minutes, but Orlando surged ahead in the second quarter to take a 60-57 lead at the half.

A tight third stanza resulted in the Magic taking a 75-74 margin into the fourth.

Orlando defeated the Cavaliers, 111-100, on November 26 at Amway Center and has won four straight and eight of the last 11 matchups between the two clubs…The Magic made 19-of-31 shots from beyond the arc, while Cleveland went 6-of-19 from three-point range.
