Rock bottom got a little lower on Wednesday as the Cavs lost to the Phoenix Suns, 106-98. This was the team's 14th straight defeat and 24th out of their last 25.
News went from bad to worse as it was reported that injured G Mo Williams will be out "a couple of weeks" after receiving a cortisone shot. With the league's worst record and trade rumors everywhere, the question isn't if the Cavs will make a move, but when. The trade deadline is February 24.
As for the game itself:
Antawn Jamison posted 23 points and had six boards for the Cavaliers, who continued a season-high 14-game losing streak. Ramon Sessions ended with 19 points and eight assists, while J.J. Hickson and Daniel Gibson both scored 16 points in the losing effort.
"We had the opportunities," Jamison said. "We got some key stops. We just couldn't convert them on the offensive end down the stretch."
The Cavs will play Milwaukee at the Q on Friday night at 7:30PM.
