Hall Of Fame Broadcaster Joe Tait Available For Book Signing

Joe Tait has retired but that doesn't mean he isn't keeping busy. Tait, who was the Voice of the Cleveland Cavaliers for 39 of the team's 41 seasons, will be available to sign copies of his new book, "Joe Tait: It's Been a Real Ball".

The book, co-written with Cleveland Plain Dealer sports-writer Terry Pluto, celebrates Tait's career with stories from fans, colleagues, players and, of course, Tait himself.

His animated voice and no-nonsense announcing brought the excitement of Cavaliers games home to listeners. Many also fondly recall him as one of the best play-by-play announcers ever to broadcast Cleveland Indians games (1973 to 1987) and as the longtime announcer for Mount Union football.

The signing will take place at the Cleveland Cavaliers Team Shop at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday, November 16th from Noon - 2:00 P.M. The book is on sale at the Team Shop for $15.95.
