Cleveland Cavaliers Will Their Way To 126-119 Win Over Los Angeles Clippers

The Cleveland Cavaliers still haven't won a game in 48 minutes since November 27, 2010.  All that matters tonight, however, is getting a win any way hey could.  The Cavs did just that, willing their way to a 126-119 overtime win over the Los Angeles Clippers at Quicken Loans Arena.  It seemed like old days down at The Q, with Mo Williams hitting big shots and the Cavs doing what it took when it mattered to get the W.

Antawn Jamison scored 35 points while grabbing 9 rebounds while Mo Williams returned to spark the Cavaliers with 17 points and 14 assists - including the game-tying shot with 6.8 seconds to go in regulation, after the Cavs had squandered a 106-100 lead in the last 3 minutes.  J.J. Hickson may have played his best game is a pro scoring 27 points and grabbing 14 rebounds while defending Blake Griffin most of the night.  The highlight of the game came in the 4th quarter when Hickson rejected Griffin on a dunk attempt.  Hickson had 4 blocks on the night.

Daniel Gibson hit a huge 3 in overtime on his way to 18 points and Ramon Sessions added 12 points.

The Clippers were a tough out, especially down the stretch, coming back repeatedly to make the Cavaliers earn their first win since December 19, 2010 - an overtime win over the New York Knicks.  Blake Griffin scored 32 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in his first visit to Cleveland.  Griffin needed 26 shots to get his 32 points, however.  Randy Foye scored 23 points and Baron Davis scored 26 points before being ejected with his 2nd technical foul in the OT.

It was a crisp shooting night for the Cavaliers, shooting 50.0% from the field, 40% from 3-point land.  The Cavaliers grabbed 43 rebounds and had 34 assists on 46 made baskets.

The win by the Cavaliers makes Sunday's meeting with the Washington Wizards a lot less interesting.  Washington will come to Cleveland winless on the road at 0-25.
