Blatche’s Big Day Dooms Cavaliers 115-107

The Washington Wizards knew they would be shorthanded in tonight’s match-up against the Cavaliers, with rookie phenom John Wall and guard Nick Young sitting out. Center Andray Blatche stepped up big time and attacked the Cavaliers biggest weakness. In just his second game back on the floor after a shoulder bruise, he posted career his in points, with 36, and rebounds with 19. That shoulder’s looking pretty healthy at this point.

The Cavs J.J. Hickson had an impressive night, but was helpless against Blatche’s assault, as Cleveland was once again out-rebounded by a ton, this time 56-38.Hickson’s double-double gave him 21 points and 10 boards, including going 6-of-10 from the field. Ramon Sessions proved that he should be back in the starting lineup with 26 points in 25 effective minutes. He was a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe. The Cava bench continued to play lights out, outscoring that of the Wizards 48-13.

Along with Blatche, JaVale McGee and rookie Jordan Crawford added 20 plus point efforts, with 25, and 21, respectively.
This loss is number 60 on the season for the Cavaliers, their first 60 loss season since 2002-03.
