A dominant second half allowed the home fans at Quicken Loans Arena enjoy the first home win of the 2011-12 NBA season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Just two nights after falling in overtime at Indiana, the Cavaliers earned a 98-82 win over the New Jersey Nets by outscoring them 55-33 in the second half.
Antawn Jamison had 23 points for the Cavs while Daniel Gibson added 19 points off the bench. Kyrie Irving had 13 points and four assists as the No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft continues to impress. the Cavs hit an impressive 16 of 26 from three point land, and Jamison was a perfect 3 of 3. reserve Alonzo gee also had 11 points, putting four Cavs in double figures. Deron Williams led six Nets in double figures with 16 points.
