Cavaliers Schedule 2012: Cleveland Faces Lebron And The Heat This Week

The Cavaliers face Lebron James and the Miami Heat this week before games against New York, New Jersey and Boston.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have flashed a lot of promise this season -- mostly through the hands of rookie Kyrie Irving -- but have been unable to translate the promise into ticks in the W column. The most exciting news of the last week for the Cavs was probably Zydrunas Ilgauskas being added into the front office more than anything that happened on the court.

The week starts for Cleveland with a Tuesday draw against the Miami Heat, who if you hadn't heard have a player that was once rather important to the Cavs. The Heat have been playing fairly well recently even without Dwayne Wade around and are doing well at 11-5 right now, though that's only good enough for third in their division at present.

The second leg of the back to back on Wednesday sees Cleveland go back home to meet Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks. The Knicks had a long, hard fought game against the Nuggets on Saturday and might still be tired. On the bright side for them, they won't be at home where they've played less than impressively. The back to back will have a day off after followed by a game against the Nets and then a Sunday match against the Boston Celtics, the first of two in a row against Boston.
