NBA Power Rankings 2012: Cavaliers Down At 22nd

The Cleveland Cavaliers haven't impressed all that many people this season outside of some great play by rookie Kyrie Irving, and it shows in the latest SBnation power rankings, where Tom Ziller has the Cavs stuck all the way down at 22nd overall. That's just barely above the struggling New York Knicks and just slightly worse than Golden State.

22. Cleveland Cavaliers 6-9 W: CHA; L: GS, ATL, CHI Fear The Sword
Kyrie Irving
and Tristan Thompson, basically, are the difference between "worst in the league" and "kinda bad."

Sounds about right for this Cavs team, who would likely be somewhere around three wins at most right now if it weren't for some heroics by those two. There's still quite a ways to go for the Cavs to be a playoff contender, perhaps they can resign themselves to simply moving higher in the power rankings of the world.
