With two minutes remaining in the Cleveland Cavaliers' loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, power forward Tristian Thompson rolled over his ankle, which essentially crippled him for the rest of the game even though he was able to stay around. Thompson at the time was having a great game with 16 points against Atlanta, even in what became a big loss.
Now it's been announced by Sam Amico that Christian Eyenga has been called up from D-League and that Thompson is status is to be determined for the game against the Miami Heat on Tuesday. This doesn't necessarily mean that the injury is serious, but the ankle is currently being examined.
With the Cavaliers already somewhat weak and especially weak on depth, it is vital that the team doesn't get too injured during the season especially with big games like the one against the Heat on the horizon.
