Cleveland Cavaliers rookie guard Dion Waiters has dropped 10 pounds, according to The Plain Dealer's Cavs beat writers' Twitter account. Waiters, who was drafted No. 4 overall in the 2012 NBA Draft, said he shed "mostly baby fat."

Waiters averaged 12.6 points per game for the Syracuse Orange last season, while placing fifth in the Big East with 67 steals. He was reported to be out of shape during summer league games in Las Vegas, but it appears that he has listened to the right people in getting down to a proper game weight.
The Cavs insiders also tweeted that Anderson Varejao, who has missed 92 games due to various injuries over the past two seasons, is healthy. Varejao was in the midst of the best season of his career before getting hurt last season, as he averaged double-digits in points (10.8) and rebounds (11.5) for the first time in his eight-year NBA career.
