The Cleveland Cavaliers chased the Indiana Pacers all night before eventually losing their final preseason game, 100-82 on Tuesday night.
Byron Scott played theygame close to regular season form while he continues to search for the right combination of players to produce on the court. Kyrie Irving, Alonzo Gee and rookie Dion Waiters all played more than 30 minutes for the Cavs.
Irving led all scorers with 20 points while Gee added 18, but both players had four turnovers which were nearly half of the team's 17 turnovers for the game. Rookie Tyler Zeller played extensive minutes as well, scoring 13 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
David West led the Pacers with 15 points and eight rebounds to go along with point guard D.J. Augustin's nine points and 11 assists, starting in place of injured starter, George Hill. Forward Danny Granger played in his first preseason game for the Pacers, chipping in nine points in 12 minutes of action.
The Cavs complete preseason play with a 2-4 record as they now prepare to open up the NBA regular season next Tuesday when they host the Washington Wizards at Quicken Loans Arena.
