The Cleveland Cavaliers welcome in division rival Chicago to Quicken Loans Arena on Friday night. Both the Cavs and Bulls will be looking to open their season 2-0.
Kyrie Irving was brilliant in Cleveland's 94-84 season opening win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, scoring 29 points and pulling down six rebounds. Also impressive was Anderson Varejao, who put up a ridiculous line of nine points, 23 rebounds and nine assists. The 23 rebounds marked a career-high for the big man.
Chicago eked out a hard-fought 93-87 victory on Tuesday over the Sacramento Kings. The win embodied what many Bulls games will be like this year without Derrick Rose, who is rehabbing a torn ACL. Joakim Noah, a player very similar to Varejao, had 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Chicago and Cleveland played three times in last year's lockout-shortened season, with the Bulls winning each matchup by at least 21 points.
