The Cleveland Cavaliers made a pair of roster moves Thursday, according to NBA.com. The Cavs released forward Luke Harangody and signed forward Kevin Jones.
Harangody, 24, played in 21 games for the Cavs last season, starting just one. He averaged just 3.0 points per game while earning about 11 minutes on the floor. The only start Harangody has made in his career came on April 14, 2012, against the New Orleans Hornets. He scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in 37 minutes.
Harangody was a second-round draft pick by the Boston Celtics in 2011. He played 21 games for the Cavs in 2010-11, as well, after being traded from the Celtics.
Jones, 23, is a 6'8 rookie out of West Virginia. Jones played three games for the Charge in the NBA's D-League before the signing. He averaged 27 points and 13 rebounds while seeing about 41 minutes on the floor per game. His best game was against the Springfield Armor on Nov. 24. He scored 31 points and hauled in 16 rebounds in a 94-91 loss.
