The Cleveland Cavaliers have several players, including star guard Kyrie Irving, who are dealing with injuries as the team prepares for its game against the Phoenix Suns on Friday, according to Ohio.com's Jason Lloyd.
Irving did not practice on Wednesday, but Cavs head coach Byron Scott told Lloyd that it was simply a rest day, and that Irving would be in action against the Suns. He is dealing with a case of gastroenteritis, as is teammate C.J. Miles, who was held out of practice as well and may not play on Friday.
Anderson Varejao is nursing a bruised right knee, but participated in practice on Thursday and said that his knee improved. He will likely be on the floor on Friday. Dion Walters, on the other hand, may not, as he is listed as questionable with a deep thigh bruise.
The Cavs and Suns will tip off in a battle of 2-3 teams at 9 p.m. ET on Friday night.
