After the awful news of big man Anderson Varejao suffering a wrist fracture, the Cleveland Cavaliers need to pick themselves up and keep pushing towards as many wins as they can muster with a weakened roster. They have an overall easier week than some in the past to contend with, but the three games will still challenge the weak Cavs quite a bit. Fortunately for Cleveland, there are no back to backs penciled in for them for a little while.
Wednesday brings the first game of the week for Cleveland, a home tie against the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers have been one of the more pleasant surprises of the season so far, though they did drop an important home game to the Denver Nuggets over the weekend. Regardless, their 17-10 record and resume including a road win over the Chicago Bulls demands respect from Indiana.
The weekend will bring a tough re-re-rematch against LeBron James and the Miami Heat, followed by a match against the listless Sacramento Kings. The broken Cavs need all the rest they can get, so fortunately they only have those three games to worry about until next week.
