The Cleveland Cavaliers will play their first games in the month of February this weekend, in the form of a back to back. The week was uneventful for the most part with only a loss to the Boston Celtics filling the days up. On the bright side, they also got the news that Kyrie Irving was the rookie of the month.
The back to back will begin on Friday as the Cavaliers travel to Florida to meet the Orlando Magic. The Magic are 13-6 right now and have played some great basketball with Dwight Howard as always leading the way. They haven't scored a lot of points on the year, but they know how to close basketball games and at home have been superb.
Saturday brings the Cavs back to Cleveland to face the defending champion Dallas Mavericks. Even as they sit at 14-9, they aren't playing like defending champions at the moment -- this video of their coach Rick Carlisle being ejected for kicking the ball at a fan in their most recent loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder sums up their season quite nicely -- but can still play with the best of them.
