NBA Trade Rumors 2012: Ramon Sessions Draws Interest From Lakers, Timberwolves, Hawks

Cleveland Cavaliers back up point guard Ramon Sessions has drawn interest from many teams around the league due to his fantastic play this season behind rookie Kyrie Irving, according to the The Cleveland Plain Dealer. Via Tom Reed:

The Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks are two teams rumored to have interest in Sessions. The Minnesota Timberwolves, fighting for a Western Conference playoff spot, might also be calling the Cavaliers after the season-ending knee injury to point guard Ricky Rubio.

Though Sessions has said he would like to remain in Cleveland past Thursday's trade deadline, the speculation continues because of the brilliant play of Irving and because Sessions will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season if he declines a $4.55 million player option.

Sessions is averaging 10.6 points and 5.1 assists in just 24.5 minutes per game, while shooting a career-best 43.3 percent from beyond the arc.
