NBA Trade Rumors: Lakers Aggressively Pursuing Deal For Cavs' Ramon Sessions

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to contact the Cavaliers about a potential deal for reserve point guard Ramon Sessions, according to a report. The Lakers have long been rumored to be likely trading partner with the Cavs when it comes to Sessions, and Sam Amico reports that they have stepped up their efforts as the deadline rapidly approaches this week.

Via Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio:

According to one source, the Lakers' interest in Sessions appeared to peak around All-Star weekend, but dwindled quickly when they learned the Cavs' wouldn't budge from receiving a first-round draft pick in return. But after exploring the market for a point guard, "the Lakers are finding a deal for Sessions may be the best fit," a source said.

The Lakers seem to be the busiest team at the trade deadline, as they furiously work to upgrade the point guard position and also engage in talks about All-Star forward Pau Gasol. The Cavs seem willing to hold on to Sessions, as visions of a playoff appearance now dance in their heads.
