Cavaliers Sign Donald Sloan For Remainder Of The Season

The Cleveland Cavaliers continued to shuffle point guards on Friday. The team signed point guard Donald Sloan for the remainder of the season on Friday, as reported by Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beancon Journal.

Sloan, 24, comes to the Cavs from Erie in the NBA Developmental League. Cleveland is the third team Sloan has played for this season. He made prior stops in Atlanta and New Orleans.

Daniel Gibson is expected to be the primary backup point guard until the team gets Sloan worked into the fold. Sloan could start to see playing time as soon as Sunday, reported Jason Lloyd.

The Cavs are also expected to re-sign Manny Harris who was with the team in two previous stints on 10-day contracts. He was let go earlier in the week, with the expectation that he would rejoin the team after the NBA trade deadline.

The Sloan move comes a day after the Cavs acquired Luke Walton and Jason Kapono.
