Cavaliers Vs. Nets: Kyrie Irving, Deron Williams Face Off Once Again As Cleveland Faces New Jersey

The Cleveland Cavaliers will meet the New Jersey Nets on Monday as Kyrie Irving and Deron Williams face off in a battle of young stars.

If the last game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and New Jersey Nets was any indication, it's going to be a fun match-up between the young stars of the two teams, Kyrie Irving and Deron Williams. Irving scored a whopping 32 points the last time the teams met even in a losing effort, thanks mostly to Williams putting up 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Both the Cavs (16-26) and Nets (13-31) are on slides at the moment Cleveland having lost their last three and New Jersey having lost two straight. Neither team seems to be on the fast track to a playoff berth so it's not as important, and with the Cavaliers having traded Ramon Sessions for a draft pick it looks likely that they're betting on the future more than anything they'll be able to do this year.

Even so, the Cavs will want to see Irving continue to grow into a star NBA player. The two teams have split the season series so far 1-1.

The game will be at the Prudential Center at 7:30 p.m. ET.
