Losers of six straight, the Cleveland Cavaliers entered Wednesday night's game in Denver -- the back-end of a back-to-back -- as 10-point dogs. At the half, thanks to the strong play of Antawn Jamison, the Cavaliers find themselves up by two, 57-55.
Jamison poured in 26 first half points behind 8-for-13 shooting. Rookie Kyrie Irving assisted seven Cavs' baskets and Alonzo Gee contributed 10 points. Jamison scored 14 of the first 18 points for the Cavs and added another 12 points in the second quarter.
Denver, who has led by as many as nine in the game, is benefitting from 50-percent shooting. They are being led by Al Harrington, who has 12 points off the bench on 5-for-9 shooting.
