The Cleveland Cavaliers (19-38) play the middle game of a three games in three nights stretch when they face the Washington Wizards (14-45) on Saturday night at the Verizon Center.
The Cavs made the late-night trip to D.C. from Indiana where they let a 14-point first half lead slip away before getting run over by the Indiana Pacers 102-83. Omri Casspi led Cleveland off the bench with 14 points as the Cavs continue to play out the remaining regular season schedule without point guard Kyrie Irving or veteran big man Anderson Varejao.
Coach Byron Scott has kept his make-shift, youthful lineup playing hard as they challenged the Pacers for six of the eight quarters the two teams played in their home-and-home series this week. In the Wizards, the Cavs will face a team that also relies on youth and has been shuffling its lineup with little success. On Friday, Washington scored a season-low 65 points as they were run over by the New York Knicks, 103-65. Point guard John Wall leads the Wizards with 16 points and eight assists per game.
The game is scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m. ET and will be televised on Fox Sports Ohio.
