Antawn Jamison Plays Last Home Game With Cavaliers: 'It's Time To Move On'

While it may come as no surprise, Antawn Jamison played his final home game with the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. With and expiring contract and plenty of tread on the tires, it was expected that Jamison and the Cavs would part ways after this season. After losing to his old team, the Washington Wizards, the postgame tweets immediately came down from the locker room, where Jamison announced that it was "time to move on." Quotes after the jump:

Via Tom Reed of the Plain Dealer:

"For me, it's time to move on," Jamison said. "I don't know what the future holds, but I definitely have a great feeling this is my last home game and tomorrow will be my last game as a Cav."

Scott at WaitingForNextYear has an excellent account of Jamison's final postgame goodbyes at Quicken Loans Arena last night. Via WFNY:

"It's been a pleasure, peoples," said Jamison, addressing the security staff waiting for the Cavaliers locker room to empty out. Fist-bumps were given. Hugs were had. Every team employee Jamison encountered on his final stroll was addressed. No ball boy left behind. One of the three friends who accompanied the veteran jokingly stated, "Oh, by the way...we forgot to tell you you're under contract for one more year." That bittersweet smirk returned as the foursome arrived to the passionate pack of supporters.
