Cavaliers Vs. Nets Score Update: Cleveland Holds Slim 30-26 Lead After One Quarter

In a battle of two teams that will each be hoping for some luck from NBA Draft ping pong balls later this summer, the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers lead New Jersey 19-11 after one quarter of action.

Cleveland point guard Donald Sloan, who owns a 5-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio over his last two games, leads all players with four assists. Emerging talent Lester Hudson has also continued his hot-shooting stroke early on by nailing a pair of three-pointers, and has eight points despite being on the floor for only a fraction of the quarter.

The Nets shot poorly for much of the opening quarter, and finished shooting 9-for-21 (42.9%) as a team. Power forward Kris Humphries, who is 1-for-6 with four points, has not been able to find a rhythm against Cleveland rookie big man Tristan Thompson on the inside.
