The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to snap a three-game losing streak on Friday night, as they visit the Charlotte Bobcats to get the weekend in the NBA started.
Charlotte broke an 18-game losing skid on Monday with a 91-81 win over the Chicago Bulls, bringing them two full games ahead of the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference at 8-23.
Cleveland center Anderson Varejao will miss his eighth straight game Friday night with a knee injury, and isn't expected back on the floor for the Cavaliers until the middle of next week at the earliest.
On Saturday, the Cavaliers return home to host the high-scoring Houston Rockets, who will be coming off a contest against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. Houston's 105.8 points per game is the highest average in the NBA.
Elsewhere on Friday night, the Miami Heat host the Chicago Bulls on ESPN, followed by the battle of Los Angeles, as the Lakers and Clippers square off. Saturday also sees the Boston Celtics in Atlanta taking on the Hawks, and the Clippers hosting the Golden State Warriors later that night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Toronto Raptors play a matinee game on Sunday, and the Denver Nuggets visit the Lakers to complete the five scheduled games in the NBA.
