Kirk Herbstreit rips Columbus sports talk radio host, Scott Torgerson

The former Buckeye quarterback responded to comments made by a Columbus radio host that were targeted at Desmond Howard.

There was a little dust-up this week between ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit and Columbus sports talk radio host Scott Torgerson, prompted by a controversial and distasteful Tweet from "The Torg." The radio host, who's known for controversial statements, fired off a Tweet about Herbstreit's ESPN GameDay colleague, Desmond Howard:

Torgerson deleted his Twitter account shortly after sending the incendiary Tweet, and as you'd expect, the contretemps was on.

He was suspended by 97.1 The Fan in Columbus, but that didn't stop Herbstreit from addressing the statement. The former OSU quarterback pulled no punches, ripping Torgerson on his own station. Audio of Herbstreit blasting Torgenson (h/t AA):
