According to this story on Yahoo Sports, the Seattle Mariners have reportedly hired ex-Indians' manager Eric Wedge to be their new skipper.
↵SI.com, according to Yahoo, first broke the story on Friday, a little less than two weeks after the Mariners completed their second 101-loss season in three years. Wedge will become Seattle's sixth manager since the beginning of the 2007 season.
↵There has, as of yet, been no official announcement from the Mariners.
↵If this comes to pass...best wishes to you, Eric. With the Indians you played the hand you were dealt, and in 2007 it was almost a good enough hand to reach the World Series. Again, best wishes.
