Manny Ramirez Takes His Talent To Tampa

Former Indians OF Manny Ramirez will take a drastic pay cut in 2011 - and will likely play for a pretty bad team as well.  The former Indians/ Red Sox/ Dodgers/ White Sox slugger has agreed to a 1-year, $2 million contract with the Tampa Bay Rays where he will reportedly be reunited with Johnny Damon.

Ramirez, along with Damon, should at least give Rays fans reason to come to the ballpark this coming season - maybe.  Despite having the best record in baseball last year, the Rays managed under 2 million fans, forcing ownership to trade off, or allow to leave, virtually every good player on the team.  It almost sounds like the Indians, except for the fans part.  When the Tribe was winning, of course, the fans sold out then-Jacobs field 455 consecutive times.
