The one thing you hope for as a Cleveland Indians fan was that, through the struggles of the past couple of years the team would be loaded with talent ready to burst upon the Major League Baseball scene. That's the bag of goods we've been sold, right?
↵Well, according to a MLB.com poll of scouts and scouting directors, the Indians have just one of those players in a list of 50 they ranked - Lonnie Chisenhall at #36. Hooorrrayyy!
↵Chisenhall is a 3rd baseman likely to start out 2011 at Triple-A Columbus. He was the 2nd-ranked 3B on the list. Last season, the Indians had two players on the list - C Carlos Santana at #11 and OF Michael Brantley at #46. Both played a ton at the Big League level, so that bodes well for Chisenhall this year.
↵Chisenhall spent all of 2010 at Double-A Akron, hitting .278 with 17 home runs, 84 RBI and a .351 OBP. Chisenhall played in 117 games.
