Justin Masterson Has Surgery On Non-Pitching Shoulder

Justin Masterson, who was certainly the most consistent starter for the Indians in the 2011 season and who finished with a record of 12-10 with a 3.21 ERA, has had shoulder surgery. But the good news -- if anything good can be said to come out of a surgery -- is that the affected shoulder is his left (non-pitching) shoulder.

The procedure is to repair a torn labral according to the story via Yahoo! Sports and was performed today in Wilmington, Delaware.

Masterson is expected to make a full recovery and to be ready for the start of spring training in February
