For the fourth time in the past two years, Indians' center fielder Grady Sizemore has had surgery. This one was an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee performed in Colorado, which allegedly will not deter Sizemore from being ready for the start of spring training in 2012 -- wherever he happens to end up.
↵The complete story from Yahoo! Sports points out that the Indians have until three days after the World Series to decide whether to bring Sizemore back. Grady appeared in only 71 games for the Tribe in 2011 and was on the disabled list three separate times.
↵"We could not be happier with the results of Monday’s arthroscopy," Sizemore said in a statement. "Dr. [Richard] Steadman told me this minor procedure should allow the bone bruise in my right knee to fully heal."
↵Sizemore has now had two knee surgeries, a surgery on his elbow and one for a sports hernia since 2009.
↵Grady hit only .224 for Cleveland this season, with 10 homers and 32 RBIs.
