The Cleveland Indians kicked off their exhibition season with a 7-6 loss Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds. One thing that people often look for in the box score is who showed power by being able to hit the ball right out of the park. One player showed that against the Reds -- Ezequiel Carrera.
↵Who?
↵Carrera was one of the players acquired last season when the team traded Russell Branyan to the Seattle Mariners. The youngster has a chance to make the roster as a backup outfielder during spring training, and he's off to a good start. Not known for his power, Carrera also had two hits in an intrasquad game Friday, including one hit in which he showed off his speed with a bunt single and a stolen base.
