Grady Sizemore had some sliding drills yesterday, another positive step back from injury, and Grady will probably play DH against Arizona.
In the meantime, there is baseball to be played today against the Los Angeles Angels in a 4:05 p.m. start.
The Indians divided two split-squad games yesterday, losing to the Royals in the afternoon and then beating the Rangers late night. The split leaved the Tribe 8-11 in the Cactus League.
In twelve days the games start counting, Call this the beginning of The Twelve Days Of Christmas, baseball-style…ah, the anticipation for a new season!
The Indians send out this lineup today in support of Justin Masterson:
1) Carlos Santana (S) C
2) Jayson Nix® 2B
3) Austin Kearns® RF
4) Shelley Duncan® DH
5) Matt LaPorta® 1B
6) Chad Huffman® LF
7) Luis Valbuena (L) 3B
8) Adam Everett® SS
9) Ezequiel Carrera (L) CF
The Angels (whose lineup is not yet available) are 11-11 on the spring. Los Angeles has the tough task of being in the same division as the Rangers, but the Angels have had a good team for years, and there is no reason to think that they won’t contend for the AL West championship this year.
