Fausto Carmona Does Just Enough; Indians Defeat Diamondbacks 7-3 Behind Four Homers

Fausto Carmona won his fourth game of the spring this afternoon, and the Indians clawed their way back to .500 in the Cactus League with a come-from-behind, 7-3 win over Arizona.

Carmona went six innings, giving up all three runs along with nine hits. Fausto walked one and struck out four, and was touched by a home run off the bat of Kelly Johnson.

Jessie Todd, Frank Herrmann and Vinnie Pestano each hurled one scoreless inning to close out the win, as the offense put the game out of reach.

Cleveland blasted four home runs of their own today, with Travis Buck belting two and driving in three runs. Asdrubal Cabrera and Austin Kearns also went deep to spearhead the Tribe’s nine-hit attack.

The Indians will try to climb above the treading-water level tomorrow against the Kansas City Royals. Weather permitting the game will be played, for just yesterday the Tribe and Royals were washed out. Game time will be 4:05 p.m.

And in his first appearance patrolling center field this exhibition season, Grady Sizemore went 0-for-2 before being replaced by Buck.
