Manny Acta Added To AL All-Star Team Coaching Staff

Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta was named to the coaching staff of the 2011 American League All-Star team on Tuesday. Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington, who will manage the AL All-Star team since the Rangers are the defending American League Champions, also named Toronto Blue Jays manager John Farrell to his staff.

The Indians, of course, have the best record in the American League at 25-13, and currently lead the AL Central by 4.5 games over the Detroit Tigers.

The Indians are getting it done on both sides of the field - they are currently 3rd in Runs, 3rd in batting average, 3rd in OBP and 5th in slugging offensively while sitting 9th in ERA, 3rd in Quality Starts, 4th in WHIP and 8th in Batting Average Against.

The Indians continue their four-game road trip tonight against the Kansas City Royals before heading to Chicago to face the White Sox tomorrow.
